Michigan BISON BASH & Educational Series!

A popular gathering to celebrate all things buffalo and provide the best in Buffalo education has been revived from its nine year tradition under the Romanik Family to restart after nine years of dormancy.  In 2014, New Beginnings Ranch and Midwest Buffalo Company have re-ignited this tradition with 137 individuals attending the all-day educational series and over 600 people participating in the full days’ events. The Michigan Bison Bash, formerly known as the Buffalo Bash, has returned to the former Romanik's Ranch (now New Beginnings Ranch & Midwest Buffalo Company) on the last Saturday of August every year. The ranch has been purchased by Kevin and Kimba MacRitchie in February of 2014, who have combined operations with the locally-based Midwest Buffalo Company with plans to eventually be among the largest Buffalo ranches on earth breeding, selling and serving buffalo to customers year-round. They are already the largest Buffalo Operation in Michigan.

The event, which previously ended in 2005, drew a crowd of 1,300 people that year. Organizers are trying to rebuild the celebration.
